Mutton Akni

  • National Basmati Rice : 500 gm
  • Oil : 1 cup
  • Sliced Onion : 1 medium
  • Mutton : 500 gm
  • Ginger Garlic Paste : 1 Tbsp
  • National Salan Masala : 2 Tbsp
  • National Yakni Masala : 2 Tbsp
  • Fresh Tomato Chopped : 2
  • National Green Chilli Paste : 1 Tbsp
  • Beaten Yogurt : 1 Cup
  • Quartered Potato : 2 each
  • National Iodized Salt : As per your taste
  • Water : 1 ltr or enough to cook rice


Soak National Basmati Rice in water for 15 minutes

Heat oil in a big pan and cook onion till it turns golden brown. Keep it aside

Cook the meat in the same pan till it turns brown

Add National Ginger Garlic Paste, National Salan Masala, National Yakni Masala, tomato, National Green Chilli Paste, Yogurt and potato. Do Bhunai for 5-7 minutes

Add some water and bring it on a full boil, check for seasoning if required, add National Iodized Salt as required

Add rice to boiling water and cook on high temperature with the lid on till rice get almost soft and water almost dries out

Sprinkle the fried onion and put it on a dum

Garnish as per your requirement and serve with raita.
